A licence covers one finished website – not one person, not one computer. Two client sites using the same theme need two licences. A Bundle is a discount on buying several themes, not an agency licence.
You may
- Build the site for a paying client and charge what you like for your work
- Modify, extend or rewrite any part of the theme
- Keep using the theme on that site permanently, including after your 6 months end
You may not
- Sell, give away, sublicense or redistribute the theme files, modified or not
- Repackage or rename the theme and offer it as your own
- Include it in a theme club, membership site, SaaS or site builder
- Share your account, downloads or licence key
- Use it as the starting point for a theme you intend to distribute
Selling a website you built with the theme is fine. Selling the theme is not.
Open source
WordPress is GPL-licensed and our themes’ PHP inherits that licence. Themes are supplied under a split licence: PHP under the GPL v2 or later, everything else we own – CSS, JavaScript, images, icons, the visual design – under the terms above.
Free themes are GPL v2 or later in full. The NovexThemes name and logo are trademarks and aren’t covered by it.
Demo images and fonts
The photographs, illustrations and some fonts in our demos are licensed to us for demonstration only. They are not included in your licence and must not go on your live site unless that theme’s documentation says otherwise. Replace demo imagery with images you own or have licensed.
Support and updates
6 months of both from purchase. After that the theme keeps working indefinitely – you just stop receiving updates and support unless you renew.
Support covers installation, configuration, bugs and documented features – not custom development, third-party plugins, hosting, or general WordPress help.
Ownership
We keep ownership of the theme. You own your content, your custom code and the finished site. Your licence ends if you breach these terms – remove the theme and delete all copies. Themes are provided as-is; keep backups.
