About NovexThemes

We build one theme per niche, not one theme for everything

A growing catalogue of WordPress themes, each written for a single niche, by a team that answers its own support email.

ONE THEME PER NICHE · BUILT ON THE FREE PAGE BUILDER · SUPPORTED BY THE PEOPLE WHO WROTE THEM

Why we started

We came to this from the other side of the transaction. Before NovexThemes existed we were building client sites – and buying themes to do it faster.

The pattern repeated on nearly every project. The demo looked exactly right in the screenshot. The import brought over half of it. The rest of the week went on rebuilding a header, deleting sections written for an industry the client was not in, and explaining to a plumber why his website needed an annual page-builder subscription he had never heard of.

A multipurpose theme is a theme for nobody in particular. Someone still has to make it specific, and that someone is you, on a Friday.

So we built the opposite. Rather than one theme that stretches to fit two hundred industries, we make one theme for one niche, with the sections that niche actually needs – a call-out banner for an electrician, a document checklist for an apostille service. Nothing to strip out before you start.

Everything runs on the free page builder, so nothing renews after handover. The demo imports whole, because a demo that imports in pieces is not a demo – it is homework. And when something breaks, your email reaches the person who wrote the file.

How we build

Four rules we do not break

Every decision about a theme runs through these, and they hold whether the catalogue is eleven themes or two hundred.

01

Nothing that renews after handover

No paid builder requirement, no bundled slider licence, no plugin that stops updating when a key expires. When you hand the site to a client, the running cost is their hosting and nothing else.

02

The demo is the deliverable

What you see on the preview is what lands on your install - pages, posts, menus, widgets, global colours and images, in one run. If a section cannot survive the import, it does not go in the demo.

03

Built for the person who inherits it

Your client will be editing this site long after your invoice is paid, usually without calling you. Options are labelled the way a business owner would describe them, and every layout stays a normal editable section.

04

One niche, researched properly

Before a theme gets designed we read how that industry actually sells - what customers ask first, what has to appear above the fold, what a quote request needs to capture.

Our process

How a theme gets made

Roughly six to eight weeks from the first research note to the release, and the last two stages are the ones most theme shops skip.

Stage 01

Research the niche

We study how businesses in that industry actually win work - the questions customers ask, the objections that come up, the information a quote needs. That research decides the page list before a single pixel is drawn.

Stage 02

Design and build

Homepage plus every inner page - services, pricing, team, blog, single post, contact - designed as a set. Sample copy is written for the industry, so the layout is judged with real sentences in it.

Stage 03

Test the import

The theme is installed on clean sites, on existing sites, and alongside the plugins clients usually run. If the demo does not come across whole, it goes back to stage two.

Stage 04

Ship and keep shipping

Release, then maintain. Updates arrive through the normal WordPress update screen, with a changelog written plainly enough to forward to a client without editing it first.
